Busy Week? Keep Your Gym Routine Practical
A busy week is a planning problem before it is a motivation problem. Give your training a realistic place in the diary instead of waiting for work and family commitments to disappear.
Book the time you actually have
Look at travel, changing and the journey home as well as the session itself. Put a realistic window in your calendar. A plan that ignores the rest of the visit is likely to run into the next commitment.
Prepare a shorter option
Ask your trainer how to prioritise your programme when time is limited. Decide what matters before arriving so you do not spend half the visit changing the plan. A shorter visit should still leave room for appropriate preparation.
Reduce the setup friction
Pack your bag, charge your phone if you use the app and know what you intend to train. Keep your log somewhere easy to reach. Small preparation steps can make it easier to follow through when your attention is elsewhere.
Adjust without abandoning
If the planned session no longer fits, use your backup slot or revise the week. Review what caused the change. The goal is a routine that survives ordinary busy days, rather than one that only works during a perfect week.
